Adding a Curtain Rods Ideas

Curtain rods are the first step in beautifying your home decor with window treatments. There are different styles of bars with different installation methods, but a traditional bar, standard curtain can be installed by using two brackets bolted to the wall. Experiment with different depths and use one or more curtain rods to the layer.

Adding curtain rods remove any existing curtains and curtain rods. Stop the rod with the curtains still in it and put it on a table or a chair for safekeeping while another curtain rod is added. Decide where to place the new curtain rod. The bar brackets must be installed above or below the existing supports to ensure proper clearance. Use a ruler to measure a distance of 2 inches above or below the existing brackets on the left and right of the window curtain. Mark the points with a pencil.

Take a new clamp and align the bottom with the pencil mark on the left side of the window. Use the pencil to mark the two holes on the mounting screws. Align support the curtain with the screw holes marked.  Set curtains in the new bar. Hold the curtain rod at an angle of 45 degrees, back to you, and align the small holes at the ends so small peaks on curtain rods pass through them. Lower the curtain rod until hangs in the stands.
